History of Our Fellowship

OUR HISTORY

Vinton Methodist Church (Vinton, La.) began around 1890 as the Vinton Methodist Episcopal Church South (Vinton, La.). The congregation completed its first church building in 1903. In 1965, the building was enlarged and renovated. In 1983, the church dedicated a new building located at 1110 Horridge Street, Vinton, Louisiana. At this time, the church was renamed Welsh Memorial United Methodist Church. Welsh Memorial United Methodist Church disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church in 2022 and named Vinton Methodist Church with Pator Rick Watson leading the chaarge. 2024 With change and addition of pastors, including Pastor Jody Robert leading the church now christened VINTON METHODIST WESLEYAN FELLOWSHIP. continuing to draw and share the gospel with growing congregation.
